
Sammy Chepkwony, Chairperson, alongside CHRP. Ali Abdullahi Surraw, Commission Secretary/CEO, participated in the second National Steering Committee on Security Sector Reforms meeting chaired by Dr. Raymond Omollo, Principal Secretary for Internal Security and National Administration. The high-level session brought together leadership from the National Police Service, Kenya Prisons Service, and the National Youth Service to assess progress and accelerate implementation of the Maraga Taskforce Report on Police Reforms (National Taskforce on Police Reforms). Discussions emphasised the urgency of coordinated execution, measurable impact, and sustained inter-agency collaboration in building professional, accountable, and citizen-centred security institutions. Also in attendance were Dr. Jane Kere Imbunya, Principal Secretary, State Department for Public Service and Human Capital Development, Douglas Kanja, Inspector-General of the National Police Service, and Dr. Amani Komora, Chairperson, National Police Service Commission.
