SRC Engages Kenya Ports Authority to Advance Productivity and Regional Trade

Positioning itself at the centre of efforts to strengthen a productive public service, SRC commended the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) for its vital role in driving regional trade and sustaining East Africa’s economic connectivity, during an engagement at the Port of Mombasa on 4 February 2026. Sammy Chepkwony, Chairperson praised the Authority’s strong operational performance, noting that such engagements give the Commission valuable first-hand insights to inform its mandate and decision-making. Capt. William Ruto, KPA Managing Director, emphasised the value of collaboration and transparency in advancing efficient trade flows while reinforcing the port’s position as a leading regional maritime hub.
