Proposed Remuneration and Benefits for State Officers for Public Participation

The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) is established under Article 230 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. Article 230 (4) of the Constitution gives the Commission powers and functions to set and regularly review the remuneration and benefits of State officers, and to advise the national and county governments on the remuneration and benefits of other public officers. The Commission is in the process of reviewing remuneration and benefits for state officers, in the 3rd remuneration review cycle. As a result, the Commission has developed proposed remuneration and benefits structure that will be obtained by state officers in national and county governments in financial years 2021/2022 and 2022/2023. Pursuant to Articles 10, 201, and 230 (5) of the Constitution of Kenya, the Commission is inviting for memoranda and views from stakeholders and the public on the proposed remuneration and benefits structure for state officers. The proposed structures will be finalized and communicated to the respective employing agencies, for implementation, after considering input from stakeholders and the public. The proposed Remuneration and Benefits structure can be accessed on SRC website using the following link: https://src.go.ke/stakeholder-and-public-participation-on-the-draft-public-sector-remuneration-and-benefits-policy-2021/
