On 29 September 2026, SRC led by Sammy Chepkwony, Chairperson held an engagement with Hon. Soipan Tuya, Cabinet Secretary for Defence, at Defence Headquarters.
The engagement focused on progress made towards finalising the implementation framework for the Integrated Defence Civil Staff Management Policy and addressing outstanding areas necessary to facilitate the effective rollout of the Policy.
The Policy seeks to strengthen the management, integration and coordination of civilian staff within the Ministry of Defence, enhancing synergy between civil staff and the Kenya Defence Forces, and enabling civilian personnel to contribute more effectively to service delivery and the execution of the Ministry’s mandate.
