DR. GILDA ODERA APPOINTED VICE CHAIRPERSON OF SRC

The Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) has appointed Dr. Gilda Odera as its Vice Chairperson, in accordance with Article 250 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010. Her appointment was among the first decisions made by the newly sworn-in Commission on 28 January 2025.

Dr. Odera, representing the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), brings a wealth of experience in leadership and governance. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the University of Nairobi, a Master of Arts Degree in Leading Innovation and Change from York St. John University in the United Kingdom, and a PhD in Public Policy and Administration with a specialisation in Leadership and Management.

With more than 30 years of experience in senior management, Dr. Odera has served as chief executive, policy leader, and board director in various capacities. Notably, she was the first female National President of FKE before assuming her current role at SRC.

The Commission congratulates Dr. Odera on her appointment and extends its best wishes as she takes on this leadership role.
