Supply Chain Management Department
The department undertakes the following functions:
- Ensuring timely, efficient and effective procurement of goods, services and works, while adhering to the procurement policy and regulations;
- Ensuring user departments adhere to procurement plans;
- Developing quality specifications of goods and services, in liaison with the relevant department and end-users;
- Carrying out designated checks on quality and security aspects of procurement;
- Managing annual supplier pre-qualifications exercise;
- Managing the disposal of obsolete and disposable items;
- Ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal Act and any other legal framework governing procurement;
- Preparing statutory reports, as stipulated by the Public Procurement Oversight Authority, on quarterly basis or as required;
- Coordinating periodic and annual stocktaking for prudent inventory management and use of SRC resources;
- Managing procurement contracts.
